A Family of Five

Here we are, a family of five:

Grandma Hazel came to visit for week! She made some very yummy dinners, and a ton of sweet treats. The kiddos loved having her around, and were so sad to see her go!
We have not been doing all that much.. I have been adjusting to life with three kiddos, and Jakob being in Kindergarten. My sister is still here with me, helping me out a TON, so that has been awesome! Although I have not taken all three to drop off/pick up Jakob yet, I plan to do it all next week so that I can get the hang of it before Sarah goes home next weekend. I can do it, I can do it.. that is what I keep telling myself over and over again! The boys have been so amazing with Lucy, the only bump in the road had been that Aiden is a little more clingy then normal, but I think he is just figuring out his place in all this. I have been so emotional these past few days. Maybe it is hormones, maybe it is the realization that each day my children get bigger and bigger, maybe it is that I need out of this house! I am going to venture out to something this week, I am going stir crazy.. and I MISS MY FRIENDS! So do my boys!!!!! I cannot wait to see you girls!! Off to change and feed a pretty little girl, hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Lucy Love

Our little girl is here!
We went over to West Valley Hospital in Goodyear around midnight last Tuesday. When we got there they said I was dilated to a 4, and that they wanted to try Cervadil before Pitocin. About 15 minutes after I was given the Cervadil I began having contractions. I had to lay down for one hour, the spent the next hour walking the halls. This had to have been the worst part of the whole thing.. trying to walk through contractions.. not fun! I went a few more hours, then finally got my epidural. This was around 5:30 am. At this point they decided I did not need pitocin, and was progressing well. At around 8 am I started feeling like it was time, and sure enough ten minutes later the nurse said I was a 10! You would not believe how easy the rest of it was.. a few pushes and she was here! Lucy Virginia Kimery was born 8-18-09 at 8:36 am. She weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 19 3/4 inches. She is such a good baby, and has an adorable little cry. Her big brothers are both in love with her, and her Daddy.. well I anticipate her to be a HUGE Daddy's Girl! We are now a family of 5!!

Lucy's Nursery

So it is finally ready.. yes in what could be minutes before her arrival..ha :)! I LOVE how it turned out, very girly, but not too pink, and super colorful! Here are some photos:

This first one is the view from the door... I am contemplating shortening the curtains, you may not be able to see it, but they are a zebra print.

The next one is the other side of the room.. isn't the hamper adorable! ( the awful warning sticker on the changing table is stubborn, and needs some Bobby elbow grease to be removed:)

The crib.. I really love her furniture. I got it at JcPennys.. for an amazing price. It has a scroll design on each piece that makes it so cute! Isn't the bird mobile my sister made awesome!!

Here is a close up of the bedding.

This bookshelf might be my favorite part of her room. It was SO fun to decorate, and even has a toy box on the bottom!Bobby bought me this Cracker Barrel rocking chair when Aiden was a baby.. I am so so so excited to have someone to rock in it again.. oh gosh... I am crying thinking about it!!!Got these pictures on Etsy.. aren't they cute.. and they look perfect in the room!!

Since her room is so bright and colorful, I decided to go ultra pink and girly in the closet! These pictures don't do it justice.. I could sit in that closet for hours!! I found the dresser on Craigslist. I added the birds and changed the hardware, and now I am head over heels for it!! The tulle bin on the dresser top is full of shoes, and the apothecary jar has headbands in it. The boxes were painted for me by my sweet friend Autumn, they fit perfectly! Add a Cinderella coach piggy bank.. and viola a closet fit for a princess!!!!

Also in the closet is her toy organizer, and all her PINK girly toys.. can you tell my excitement about having a daughter!!!!

So there you have it.. now all I need is my little ladybug to rock in that rocking chair!! Come on sweet Lucy.. Mommy is ready.. SO ready!!!

Thank You Mary!!

My sweet friend Mary Kriss is an awesome photographer, and I was blessed to have her take some Maternity shots! They came out beautifully and I cannot thank her enough! We did two shoots and these photos are from the first one. She will never know how much I treasure these photo's and how much I LOVE her for doing them. Here are just a few of my absolute favorites:

** Here is a quick update on Lucy and I.. I had an appointment yesterday, and I was dilated 3 centimeters and 100% effaced! I have been having contractions all day and I am hoping they get more steady. I am set to be induced Monday at midnight, but I do not think I will make it that long! I am so so so excited!!

The First Day of Forever

Today was the first day of forever for us. The first day I watch my sweet little boy walk into a Elementary School classroom, the first day he is off becoming who he will be. I had to suck it up and realize this is a forever thing. The days of playgroups, wrestling with his brother, and Noggin filling his days are long gone. He is no longer a pre-schooler, he is a full fledged big boy! It has been almost 6 years since I first laid eyes on my beautiful boy, and just as fast as these past 6 years flew by, I am sure the next 6 will too. Today I watched my little one be so brave as he took his seat among 21 stangers. I watched him immediatly begin making friends, and I was proud. He makes me so darn proud! As hard as today was, my heart is happy. He had fun, he wasn't scared, and he LOVES school! These are truly the things that make each and every difficult moment of motherhood worth it. I can't wait to see all that this new adventure brings!
Here are a few shots of my handsome Kindergartener:
