Family, Food and Fun!

Anyone who knows me would tell you I LOVE Fall! The weather, the colors, and Thanksgiving! Every year when Turkey Day rolls around I get SO excited, because this means I will have my family here for more then a few days! We always have such a fun time, and this year was no exception! The food was DELICIOUS (thanks Mom!!!!), and the company was even better!!
Here is a photo of all the guys in their Turkey Leg Hats :)! Its started out as a craft for the kids, however it quickly became a craft for my sister and I..haha! All and all it was fun, and I think these will become a tradition!!

NO More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!!!

My poor little monkey, who jumped off his bed onto his arm, is now left with a Fractured Growth Plate in his elbow! He was quite the little trooper through it all. First, he was telling me he was okay so he could go to school the morning after it happened ( after a trip to school, and a few tears later, he ended up missing school!). Then, he had to go in to do X-rays without me and was SO brave. The next day, he got another round of X-rays and sat still the whole time while they put his cast on! I was one proud Mama!! The news wasn't very good unfortunatly. The joint is fractured, and as long as it stays in it's current place for one week he will only need to wear the cast a few more weeks. If it moves out of place, he will need surgery! A little jump, became a BIG deal! Here is a picture of my little man with his cast:

A Beautiful Bride

My little Sister was married on October 4th and of course she was a GORGEOUS Bride! Here is a picture of the happy couple on their big day:

It was a beautiful wedding, and the start of a wonderful life together :)!!

Five Years of Motherhood

My little Jake turned FIVE YEARS OLD on September 25th! It was a tear filled day as I thought back on those five years. His firsts, all the little quirks that made him who he is along the way, his BIG blue eyes, and amazingly sweet heart! I remember the first time I saw him, held him.. since that moment he has captivated my heart! I am a better person because of him, he made everything make sense!

Road Trip Home :)

Just Thought I would share a few pictures from our trip home from Idaho!
So anyone who knows my little Jakey knows he LOVES Star Wars, which makes his Daddy so very happy being that he LOVES Star Wars as well!!He is always saying "I am a Star Wars fan"!! Grandma Lehne bought him this Clone Trooper Helmet for his birthday and he opened it right before we left her house. Needless to say he loved it and wore it most of the way home. It has a speaker that changes his voice and every time he spoke to us it was through the speaker... SO FUNNY!! The second one is of Aiden all smiles laughing at Jakob in the helmet!!
Here are a few from breakfast! Jake insisted that I take a picture of his pancakes before he ate them! The other is of Aiden and Bobby, and I think it is really cute!

This last one is us at Hoover Dam. The boys were restless so we stopped and let them check it out! They thought it was really neat, so next time we may take the whole tour! Aiden just kept saying WOOWWW... BIGGGG!!

Happy Birthday Bobby!!

Today is Bobby's 27th Bday! Old Man!! I thought I would share with you all how really lucky I am!

Bobby works ALOT! By alot I mean six days a week, sometimes seven! He does this so that I can be home with the boys, so that Jakob can go to pre-school, so I can go to California as often as I do, so that we can live in our home.. and for so many other selfless reasons. He does this week after week without complaint! You may think that we never see eachother, but he ALWAYS makes time for us... ALWAYS! He reads stories to the boys at bedtime, builds them awesome train tracks, makes them happy when they are sad, he is an awesome Daddy! He lets me be me, and he loves me! He encourges me in anything I do, he calms me when I am stressed, he watches the boys so I can get away, he is silly with me when I need that, and my rock when I am losing it! He does sweet little things, and listens when I talk.. I could go on and on! I have two beautiful sons, I am home with them everyday, I have a nice home, and a comfortable life, and I owe every bit of that to my AMAZING Husband!

Sushi Supper!!

So as many of you know Bobby and I LOVE sushi! Way back when we still lived in California we bought a sushi making kit, and for the last 4 or so years since we bought it Bobby has been asking when I was going to learn to use it! While visiting Bob's family in Idaho I was fortunate to get a mini lesson from my Sister in Law Stacee. Tonight was my first go at it, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out. I need to buy a deep fryer and a REALLY sharp knife, but other then that it was really good!! Bobby was so cute.. he stood in the kitchen and watched me the whole time... he was really excited! He often does that, when I am sewing or doing some craft he will watch and ask questions, it is really nice that he is always so interested in what I am doing!! Well, he LOVED the meal... I am pretty positive it will become a regular meal at our house!

Of course no Sushi meal is complete without Edamame, Saparo Beer for Bob and Green Tea for me! (Sorry it is a little blurry!)

Here is a close up of some of the sushi... California Rolls and Spicy Tuna!!

Our Boys always love sushi... we usually only eat imitation crab, tuna and shrimp at home,so they can dig right in with us! They still have the trainer on their chop sticks, but they do very well with them:

I wanted to do something fun for Jakob and Aiden and I came across this idea for Twinkie Sushi! You cut twinkies into slices, wrap each slice in a fruit by the foot, and stick a gummy bear in the cream! They look like sushi and they were actually really good!! SO CUTE!

Weekend Fun!

Bobby had already left for work on Thursday evening, and I was about to get comfy and veg out to a Lifetime movie when I got a GREAT phone call. It was my sister and she was calling to let me know that she, my brother-in-law, nephew and my MOM were coming to visit me for the weekend! I miss my family SO very much and I am always so excited when they visit. Thursday night and friday drug on, and finally friday night rolled around and they were here! It was a fun weekend... We got went to pick up my bridemaid dress, had a yummy lunch, then headed to Hobby Lobby to look for centerpiece items! After getting home and being lazy for a while my Mom, Sister and I headed to Chilli's for some girl time.. SO FUN! The boys had a blast with everyone! This was the first visit that my nephew was able to actually play with Jakob and Aiden... it was quite cute watching them all! Here is are some pictures of them:

After all of that playing they were pooped and crashed out:

Isnt he sweet!
